wishing they'd come...

Oh ya, Melissa and Justin...Lucky has been waiting for you ALL week so you guys better hurry.

One more thing...

Oh ya..and I almost forgot one more thing. The baby of the family is now 16!!! And yes.. I do have my license...even though I'm pretty sure mom does despise that. But she knows it helps. Oh and another thing! Chelsea and Chris got an apartment and are starting to move out tomorrow. So yay for them. And Melissa, Justin, and Elliette all move in on Friday..it's like a free service hotel.

Home

Dad came home on December 9, and I just keep forgetting that I have this dang blog to keep "updated". So I'm doing it now! So any who... Dad is home and is getting around on just a walker and a wheelchair (he mostly tries to use the walker to try to speed up the healing process I think). He can't put any weight on his right leg yet so he basically has to lift himself up as he walks. Which is basically walking around the house doing push-ups on a sore shoulder and hurts him constantly. He goes in to see the doctor on Tuesday...I believe and he might be able to start putting weight on it then, but it all just depends.

Oh and today at church mom was talking to some sisters in the ward and apparently in the meeting this morning they brought up that they just love how our lights are left up on the roof exactly how dad had left them when he fell, even with the ones that he took down with them hanging off the roof, and the soldiers right leg is turned off...and they thought we did that on purpose. HA HA we don't even know how to fix it if we wanted too.

The accident.

So as we all know dad fell off the roof yesterday. He went out about 5:00 p.m. and he called mom about 5:15. Mom ran around the house to find him and he was out by the side of the house next to my room, laying between the two trees and about 3 inches away from the gas thing on that side. He fell because he was walking backwards unwinding the strand of lights and just miscalculated and walked right off the roof. He tried to catch himself once he realized what he had done but he just fell right off. He landed on this back but I am pretty sure his right hip hit first, right on the concrete lip we have that goes around the garden. His shoulder was dislocated and layed out next to him and he couldn't move it at all. We called Bishop Greenwood over to help us and he said we shouldn't move dad and to call an ambulance (before dad was thinking of just crawling into the front seat of the car..ya right!). So mom went inside to call the paramedics. Soon they all came with their sirens on and their flashing lights. They got dad up onto the stretcher and put him into the ambulance and got his arm all set so he was capable of being transported over to the hospital. Mom followed the ambulance over and we all went over later.
He is in surgery for 1/2 a hip replacement. (on his hip and femur in his right leg). He is going to be in the hospital for 3 or so weeks and will be out of work for 1-2 months. He has to go to rehab to be able to use his shoulder so he can use a walker to walk. I'll keep updating it on more news as we find out.

Dead zone...I know

I know we haven't had any new things on this graveyard site for a long time..but that would be because I'm waiting on a new camera so I can actually take pictures and document our lives because mother obviously does not like too! But I do have some pictures from my phone of our trip to Soda Springs, our pumpkins this year and just some random ones so enjoy these! They'll probably be the last till I get a camera!! STRIKE!
